Coaches Corner
The following levels of training are the VCFL minimum required standards to be achieved by coaches participating in the following divisions. (This does not replace BCCFA standards. Coaches must meet minimum standards as specified by the VCFL as well as BCCFA provincial standards.)
 
For all Coaches, Criminal Record Checks are required at least every 2 years or by request from the president of the VCFL or President of their respective Association.

U8 Flag 

  1. Up to date Criminal Record Check (as above)
  2.  a Signed Coaches Code of Conduct (or electronically acknowledged),
  3. esportsdesk Registration for Insurance purposes.

Atom, Pee Wee 

  1. Up to date Criminal Record Check,
  2. Signed Coaches Code of Conduct (or electronically acknowledged),
  3. esportsdesk Registration for Insurance purposes, 
  4. Safe Contact,
  5. Making Headway Online Course
  6. an NCCP#.
  7. Head Coaches require (NEW NCCP) Trained Level: Community Sport Stream, Make Ethical Decisions, all modules or (OLD NCCP) Trained Level: Technical-1and Theory-1

Junior Bantam, Bantam, and Midget -

  1. Up to date Criminal Record Check,
  2. a Signed Coaches Code of Conduct (or electronically acknowledged), and
  3. esportsdesk Registration for Insurance purposes,
  4. Safe Contact,
  5. Making Headway Online Course,
  6. an NCCP#

Head Coaches require NCCP Trained Level: Community Sport Stream, Make Ethical Decisions, all modules or OLD NCCP Trained Level: Technical-1and Theory-1.

Note : Coaches entering the VCFL after the Training Courses have run will not have to be trained until the following year.

** Note: Additional or other levels of training may be required from time to time based on requirements of Football Canada or BCCFA, as applicable, and all levels of training are subject to change as may be required in order to meet the applicable requirements of these bodies at the respective age levels and divisions.
